With many of South Africa’s top senior players in the field, day one brought perfect scoring conditions. Straight out the gate Titch Moore took charge with Cam Johnson in hot pursuit (just one shot back), and the evergreen Gordon Wessels with Ian Norgarb held third place over night.
Day two saw the wind swing from west to east and pick up, and a brief lightning delay sent the field to the clubhouse before play resumed.
Titch Moore was on-point and claimed the title at this iconic venue at a score of 7 under— a special win to add to his many fond memories at Humewood.
